Astin Retail Ltd ("Astin Retail", "we", "us") is a UK-based retail setup service. We are the data controller for the personal data you provide through this platform. For any privacy query, contact privacy@astinretail.co.uk.
To set up your store accounts we collect: company details (name, number, registered address); director details (full name, home address, email, phone, ID proof and address proof documents); business & financial details (VAT number, bank sort code, account number, bank address, business email and phone); trading details (address and opening hours); and the services you request. All fields are provided by you.
We process your data to perform our contract with you — namely, to set up the supplier and service accounts you authorise us to open on your behalf. Where you give explicit consent (via the onboarding authorisation), we submit your details to the relevant partners to create those accounts.
With your authorisation, we share the specific details required to open each account with the relevant partner (e.g. wholesalers, PayPoint, insurers, EPOS providers). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your data is handled by our back-office team located in India. Where personal data is accessed from outside the UK, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses and access controls) so that your data receives a level of protection consistent with UK GDPR.
Identity and address documents and financial details are highly sensitive. We encrypt uploaded documents at rest, restrict access to authorised staff only, and transmit data over secure (HTTPS) connections. We keep your data only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then securely delete it.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@astinretail.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Some services (e.g. lottery, business funding, insurance) are regulated in the UK. Astin Retail does not provide regulated financial advice; we route your application to authorised partners who are responsible for the regulated activity.
